How it works

1. One precise query per tool. Brand names, the official handle and the domain (url:), with retweets removed and ambiguous words avoided. Each query is listed below.
2. Mentions. X's post-count endpoint gives hourly counts for the last 7 days. From that we take posts in the last 24h, posts in 7 days, and velocity = last 24h ÷ the average day in the 6 days before.
3. Engagement. A sample of up to 25 of the most relevant original posts from the last 7 days (no replies, no retweets). We sum likes + 3×reposts + 2×replies + 2×quotes of the top posts and keep the top 3 posts as "why it's buzzing".
4. Score (0-100) = volume (0-50: log of 7-day posts; 100k+ = 50) + spike (0-25: log₂ of velocity, 4× = 25, damped when fewer than ~100 posts in 24h) + engagement (0-25: log of weighted engagement; 100k = 25).
5. Labels. 🔥 Hype: velocity ≥ 2× with 20+ posts in 24h, or a sampled post with 5,000+ likes this week. Rising: velocity ≥ 1.3×. Steady: 50+ posts a week. Quiet: everything else.
